okay, so for the past week, I've been super nervous because I had a piano competition on saturday (a.k.a. today). I had to memorize this super long piece (like 25 pages) as well as this super fast piece (which wasn't as long--about 4 pages) for it. So I play at 1:00. Everything's going fine. Until I completely forget which note I'm supposed to play and mess up. (I forgot to mention that I'm playing this super long piece with my teacher, who was playing on a second piano--it's a concerto) It took a while for us to get back together and after that everything was fine. Then, I memorized my super fast piece--hit a couple of wrong notes in my left hand but that wasn't too bad. But I was so disappointed when i forgot those notes in the concerto--I had never had any problems there before. But I was nervous and of course, since I can never memorize a piece perfectly, I just had to forget something. Oh well.
